The kiddos loved it, could not sit together on the way back even though I had reservations in advance:(
Interesting historic train ride right along the coast line. The announcer was difficult to hear at times so we missed some of the history lesson.
The ride was pretty if you were on the right side of the train. When we first arrived to the station your hit with the disgusting smell of the bathroom. Then we left the station late. This resulted in us not getting more than 15 minutes at the town you stop at. This was super disappointing! The town was so cute. Make sure you get on the side of the train that has the water otherwise it’s not worth it. Also make sure to bring sunscreen if you’re on the open top train!
Such a wonderful train ride by the Oregon coast. It is fascinating to ride a steam locomotive nowadays. The train ride is short, only lasted for 30 mins each way. Beautiful scenery along the ride, and it is a good experience.
I had a great time. I didn't realize that it would be a tour bus type of experience with the conductor calling out the local sites and giving a little history. It added a lot to the experience. The ride was relatively slow and laid back. I can't wait to take my grandson.
