Great cost effective hotel located in the lower east side, positives were the cleaniness of the room and bathroom, friendleness of reception and the rooftop view was a great bonus. The internet was quite poor in our room, I would suggest they upgrade their older AC LR APs from Ubiquiti to the newer U6-Pro range. We had a hot water problem in our shower on the first day, but was resolved by the staff quite quickly. An upgrade to the amenities in the room to have a fridge would be a welcome extra. The room was nice, had a corner room with a great view. The staff were friendly. The rooftop was awesome and has a great view. Super close to the subway and bus locations. also right in the middle of basically everything (Bars, food and stores) A few down sides. First and foremost, the parking. parking on the street is the cheapest option. there is a parking garage on the street but they want $60 a day. The other big down side to the hotel is the noise. Stayed for a night to celebrate in the city. Orchard St doesn’t offer much considering amenities, but the staff’s kindness and willingness to accommodate speaks for itself. Definitely recommend for a quick trip in the city or if you want to take a shower with a view.
BEDBUGS!!! Was booked into this hotel by a business I have a contract with and I haven’t had a worse experience in a hotel in a decade or more. Walked in to find to people sleeping in the back lobby area. Not a good start. The person who was in the room before me checked out late so I had to wait in my car. When I did get into the room although it looked clean, it had a smell immediately upon entering that was a combination between body odor and old urine.
