It feels like home. The staff is wonderful. The residents are great. The Administrator doesn't tell you what she thinks you want to hear, but she goes with the truth. She just treats you like an adult not a child in grown-up clothes. The place is clean and smells like potpourri. Once you visit you never want to leave. This is not the place if you are unruly, enjoy starting fights with other residents or behave in a socially inappropriate manner.
My Aunt & Uncle moved to Orchard Brooke during covid of 2020. The place isn't a palace, but there are people there who genuinely care! Both the employees and the residents. There's always going to be a few bad apples, but I always feel welcomed and listened to. It is obvious that the majority of the staff sincerely cares about the residents and for me, that is priceless! My Aunt, to say the least, is fussy! My mom had a medical emergency 2 years ago that left her suddenly unable to take care of herself. While she was in hospitals and rehab for 3 months recovering, we extensively researched and visited dozens of facilities trying to find the best place for my mom to move into. I had the opportunity to tour the facility and was truly impressed! The staff were so welcoming, the building was clean and I loved the dinning room! 👍 Thank you for taking the time to meet with our family so we were able to make the right decision for mom!
