Ahhhh I should have looked at reviews before trying this place ....2 referals rejected because I have ADHD. So don't come here if you have ADHD and don't takes meds because you're automatically excluded and told to go see a private psychiatrist instead $$$$ good thing I don't have ADHD or that might be difficult to manage.......I'm so mad. I'm gonna visit the office in person
Service was so bad, I am taking the time to make serious critically review, will break this experience down into it's components: The person answering the phone was unable to clearly articulate herself clearly in unaccented English. The psychiatrist himself wasn't prepared to actually listen - you would think this would be prerequisite in order come to an nuanced assessment - all he did was read the patient's medical history and repeated was stated by other specialists. They cold called me & my first thought was Orchard St sounds like Insurance, then she told me they received a letter (referral) from my GP (my ADHD Psychiatrist) and "What do you want?". Any agency that views any part of that interaction as reflection of competence or care in Mental Health field should be sacked.
I tried to 'end things' and put myself in the Intensive Care Unit and was in the hospital for 2 months. Only when I did that they took notice and I finally got access to services. It then depends on the case worker and psychatrist you get. Like any mental health service it depends on what staff you get. If you are referred there, you just get put in the queue and pass you through like cattle on a farm from the overloaded mental health system in Western Australia. Put more money into mental health.
100 percent friendly and helpful. The case manager do check ins and they are great too. Well done to all the staff keep up the wonderful job
