Very unpleasant experience with coach Payton at 7:30am class today. I arrived on time, changed my shoes and was a few minutes late to a warmup. I started prescribed workout and was interrupted mid-run by the coach waiving at me and telling me to “walk it out”. First ever after visiting multiple studios. “Walking out” is a recommendation and not a requirement in addition to sometimes members don’t start at exact same time so a few minutes discrepancies in a workout are normal. I really love this location! I’m newer to OTF but have enjoyed going so much. Staff here is awesome. Front staff has always been really nice and welcoming. I love the coaches. Andra, Danielle, Lucy, Michael, & Payton have really positive energy during class and give form checks, which has been super helpful. Thank you guys! Also lockers have locks on them, which not all locations do. This studio is also newer and everything looks great and place is kept super clean :)
What should have been an exciting first experience turned into complete frustration and disappointment. I genuinely wanted to try Orangetheory and potentially become a member, but the way this situation was handled made me feel unwelcome and dismissed. I accidentally booked a 6:15 AM class instead of PM. When I showed up, the staff helped me rebook for the next day at 5:15 PM, so I left feeling relieved and excited to finally try the workout.
