I joined OT Smyrna in August 2020. It saved me during the pandemic because it was the only human interaction I got on a daily. The coaches were awesome and the front desk staff was friendly, kind and helpful. Currently (March 2026) I still enjoy the workouts, but the current manager at this location, Raquelle, is very RUDE. My friend, who also attends Orangetheory at this location, had mentioned to me a few weeks before my experience that the manager was rude to her, and she felt that she was only kind to certain members. Been coming here for 4 years, almost daily. I really like the staff here, and the great vibes. It's quite a community.
Had a terrible experience with Manager Raquel/ Rakel. I called and advised that my son was sick and that I wanted to change my class. She said there was nothing she could do and that I would have to pay for another class. I am a perspective customer and I am extremely appalled by this low level of customer service. She never mentioned she could comp the class until I got upset and asked why a health concern could not be addressed and I told her that she didn’t even seem to care my son was sick. PLEASE avoid doing business with this Orange Theory location due to its lack of integrity and professionalism. I signed up with (OTF) in September based on false information from Nathan, who said a military discount would be provided because I am a veteran. I was also not informed that I would be committed to a twelve-month contract due to the special rate offered at that time.
