Customer service/dispatch on emergency calls is the worst in the industry. Rude, and not helpful at all. Company has gone so far down hill since CON-ED bought them, there is no coming back to the great company they once were.
Lady, I talked to on the phone was very nice. The only thing that it was extremely annoying to pay my bill. It would not tell me my balance and only an option to pay an amount
Orange and Rockland has no problem putting you and your family in the street. They are a monopoly so there is pretty much nothing you can do about any issues you may and they could care less about you. We are building a house which has been 90% finished for over a year, all we are waiting on is O&R to run the Gas and Electric from the pole to the house. I have a one level 3 bedroom home and my utility bill is on the average between $500.00-$600.00 a month ( although I will NEVER FORGET approximately 2-3 years ago I was charged $ 852.00 for one month which is impossible!!! I barely even use anything in every aspect annddd I unplug most of my home and that’s also w/LED bulbs. They sent me a refund, after being told I wouldn't receive one. Then I received a letter stating I shouldn't have received the refund and when I called I was told the letter was in error. Then I received automated called regarding the money they sent me, so I reported them to the BBB for all of this, and received a call from their communications department, a nice person named Phil, who basically told me that they are sorry for the inconvenience, and sorry companies aren't perfect, but that I needed to pay it all back.
