We recently transitioned our banking over to Orange County Federal credit union. The initial transition went smooth, but when we went to deposit checks, we found out that there would be a three week hold on all of our deposits. We understand to hold and verify a check for a day or two seems reasonable, but they will not provide us access to our funds that we need for those three weeks. This has been disappointing and a bit frustrating.
Well it was easy to deposit a 900 dollar check but I never had a fifteen day hold on a checking account that I just opened....is that something that happens on a regular in this branch or any other branch. I have an account with navy federal maybe I should just go back. If anyone else had that happen please let me know i ded email the manager but l never got a response. Maybe it's policy or maybe it's just me. Help me out why would I have to wait fifteen days for them to hold my founds. Is this a bad sign?

We have been coming here for years and all their staff is very friendly. We have worked with Noor three times now for auto loans and personal loans and she is truly an expert in what she does. She gives us many creative options and is so helpful. They tend to have better interest rates than anyone else. I highly recommend scheduling an appointment for any financial needs!
This is a highly recommended bank; I have held an account with them for 13 years and have never had a single problem. They are always very helpful and courteous. As for customer service, there are no long lines, nor do they try to trick you with extra fees. I 100% recommend this bank to my friends and family.
