Orange Bike Brewing is an easy stop right off Portland’s Bayside Trail. This dedicated gluten-free brewery uses a traditional Peter Austin brewing system, with distinctive brickwork around the kettle—a cool detail for beer enthusiasts. The interior is smaller and cozy, while the outdoor space comfortably accommodates everything from couples to larger groups. Our favorite was the guava sour: tart, thick, and delicious, with plenty of tropical fruit flavor. A worthwhile stop for a flight during a bike ride around Portland!

My mom and I are both Celiac. We stumbled upon Orange Bike a year ago and have now been four times…from Connecticut. It is worth every mile of the drive! This last visit we ran into Tom the owner who is as kind as can be. The beer is amazing, the staff is exceptional and they provide one the safest atmospheres for a Celiac possible. Zero cross contamination as gluten isn’t allowed in the building. Our non-gluten free family even prefer Orange Bike over their many alternatives so it ends up being a great place for everyone. Orange Bike Brewing Company is a really fun local brewery with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and a great community feel. The beer lineup has plenty of variety, the space is easy to hang out in, and the whole place feels casual without being boring. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a good Maine brewery and want to try something a little different.
