Joy Lantz—yes to Joy! On a whim I made an appointment with Joy, after being told for 2 years by both my pediatrician and pediatric dentist that my son would “grow out of” his tongue thrust and nighttime tongue sucking. When my son was 4 months old, he was diagnosed with a Type IV Posterior Tongue Tie and Type III Lip Tie. These tethered tissues caused him to have difficulty breastfeeding, so my supply tanked and his weight plateaued. After both ties were released, we worked with Life. I cannot express how wonderful it was to work with Joy. Throughout the entire process of my son getting his tongue tie released, Joy was so helpful and caring. She was there before the first part of his release, attended/observed (and worked with the dentist) the first part of his procedure, and made therapy for my 10-year-old son enjoyable (not the easiest task).
