First off, don't lie to your patients. If your not going to help them, don't get their hopes up by telling them you will. Came by ambulance, freezing, really flushed not feeling well and stinging pain in right leg due to severe accident in Nov. EMT couldn't do IV and administered oral zofran. Hospital refused bloodwork, refused fluids, gave me my dose of suboxone then told me I was going home. Didn't even ask if I was feeling better. Almost always had bad experiences here in the emergency room just being honest.
The treatment I recieved from Mountain West staff last night was disgusting. After being VOLUNTARILY admitted to the Emergency Department an RN was preparing my IV and when both my wife made it clear I would not accept an IV in my hand because of the pain it caused her response was "Well you don't get to choose where it goes". I'm sorry what? Do your people not understand I have to right to refuse care at any time? Do they actively try to make people refuse care? Just what kind of hospital are you running? Their web page says they do heart procedures. My heart went into Atrial fibrillation. As it does on occasion. I called to see if they could do a Cardioversion. The woman in ER said I had to get my physicians approval first. Really? What a stupid answer. Are you an emergency room? So I went to St. Marks hospital. They know how to do them there.
