Rude staff (I will mention Stephanie C. As she was SO willing to give her name after being so obnoxious). Not helpful . Make sure your physician enters their lab orders into the computer because they will not take a paper prescription for labs( like every other lab I have ever been to) . Would not even look at my new insurance information ( “they don’t handle it”). I guess I’ll just have to fight that bill later when they bill the wrong one. It is sometimes closed and there is no way of knowing this until you get there. Once and a while they can't find the script in the computer. Otherwise it's quick and easy.
In the past year of going to this lab for regular blood work I have arrived there on at least 5 occasions to find a sign on the door saying “we’re closed today. Sorry for the inconvenience”. They don’t post that they are closed anywhere online so the only way to know is to waste my time driving the 20 minutes to get there. It is especially frustrating when I have to fast and then get there to find out I fasted for no reason and have to do it again the next day.
That place looks like a crack house! No one in front to greet you. Music blasting from the back. A sign to tell you to walk into a room for blood work, bottles of water everywhere and a nasty Haitian woman telling me my kids doctor isn’t apart of Optum which he is. If you are in need of lab work go to 3 Techology Dr. E Setauket.
