I recently called Optum Gastroenterology in Lake Success while searching for a provider. I had been feeling uneasy about scheduling a colonoscopy and had a ton of questions. I was fortunate to get Joyce on the phone, and she was absolutely wonderful. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE! They lie about the cost and will NOT give you any notice or bills before sending to debt collection. I asked for the cost before doing the surgery and the front desk told me they ran with my insurance and everything is covered. I trusted them and indeed I did not receive any bills until i was contacted by debt collection unexpectedly.
