Optodoc sponsored our squash tournament in town. As a result, i thought id give them a try. My gosh i was blown away when i walked in. The store was clean and immaculate. Beautiful selection and Doctor Mo and the staff were unbelievably helpful and just lovely. I didnt even know i needed glasses and the crew got me some nice ones im excited to try out. I am entirely shocked to learn how much they charge for their lenses. I went to buy a pair of Prada eyeglasses and paid $399 for a pair of single-vision, clear lenses, no additions whatsoever, like an anti-blue ray. They charged me $199.50 for each of the lenses: a total of $399 just for two lenses, single-vision with prescriptions: SPHERE:OD: -0.75/ OS: -1 CYL: OD: -0.50. This is insane pricing. Not too happy with my experience here. First off, when I booked an appt I asked if they needed my insurance and treaty number for coverage over the phone before my appt the lady said no just bring it to the appt. That's when I find out they direct bill with insurance but needs two days in advance to get approval coverage from my treaty band. Which I ended up having to pay a bit for the appt because I wasn't informed and my husband's insurance only covered so much. I should have trusted my gut and just gave all my insurance a... read more
