My experience with George at Optimus Rental has been extremely negative. I have received multiple conflicting notices about my account — for example, an email showing one balance and then a mailed letter with a completely different balance. This creates unnecessary confusion and stress. I have also witnessed and experienced behavior from George that, in my opinion, shows clear bias against Black tenants. My experience is horrible MLK didn’t come to Chicago in the 1960’s for us to be living n same conditions and George C speaks to me as if I’m not free American. They need negative stars .. within 7 days of moving in a tenant that sleeps in Hallway with 3 kids that were hospitalized from conditions of her apartment which included 30 active mice. My experience with the Maintenance staff and property management was great. The Maintenance person was thoughtful and super professional. I will be back to Optimus Realty as tenant when I move back to Chicago. Please rent, they care about their tenants!
I seen a review in the comments similar to my situation.Y’all request $50 for an Application fee to have someone wait a week for results which shouldn’t take that long ,Just to say they chose Someone Else it’s an inconvenience to people who are trying to rent .Things Happen and nobody’s perfect then you screw up my paperwork now I have to reset.and in these situations they wind up renting to the perfect person that they chose which turned out to be not the best choice.You got a free $50 soon I will be all together again but ... read more
