I was in the ER a few years ago and was treated terribly because I did not have insurance. The nurses rolled their eyes if I asked for a bedpan and didn't care that my blood pressure was at death level. The doctor never checked on me after I was first admitted---and discharged me without checking on me. Horrible place.
