Update I tried to get my hair done here and paid everything up front ($888). I felt uncomfortable with getting my hair done here for my wedding after the stylist was late twice so I kindly requested my money back because no services were done.. the owner denied me my money back because the hair was already “ordered”. I have been a client of Onyx Salon since they opened in Roy and am always impressed with the array of services offered. The staff is so friendly and welcoming and the salon has a classy, yet casual vibe. I have been very happy with the hair cut and color services and Tara always knows what I am trying to go for when I want to change things up.

Went to Casey in August to try the JZ extensions while she was running a sale. I have have had extensions off and on since I was 21 years old. I take very good care of them and can make them last a year. Casey assured me they would. The extensions were frizzy after the first wash and no amount of oil or deep conditioning made them look better and they started thinning and breaking after one month. I had to cut them constantly. I'm newer to Onyx but have zero plans to go anywhere else! The atmosphere is inviting and the salon is beautiful. I always leave feeling and looking fantastic. Each visit is like I'm hanging out with friends versus paying for a service. They genuinely want to know you as a person and do their best to meet not only your hair goals, but your hair needs too. My extensions are top quality and blend beautifully. I can easily go 6 weeks before a move up and they still look great. 10/10 what a salon experience should be like!
