I walked in this morning and requested a new gel color on my toes. No service just a gel paint, ( as I just had a gel pedicure here 2 weeks ago $50) I had already soaked the paint off, just needed a quick 1-2 for a trip. The lady at the front said it would be $40..!! I asked why $40 if the price sheet said $20 for a gel paint. I rarely write reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others about Onyx Nail Bar. My experience there has been nothing short of terrible. I went in to have my nails redone after they previously fell off just a day later, only to be disappointed again. This was my second visit, and it was even worse. The technician burned my nails so badly that it was painful, and when I asked if it was normal, they dismissively told me it was. I ask for Tracey because she does an AMAZING job on my toes. She knows how to get that extra dead skin, which is not an ingrown toenail that causes me discomfort on the corner of my big toe. She is patient and she is very professional. I've had a couple of other technicians in the salon when she has not been available, and no one comes close to Tracey. I learned the hard way, so now I just call ahead and schedule my pedicures with her.
