I've been getting bio sculpture manicures at Onyx off and on for a little over a year now but waited to write my review because I didn't believe the INCREDIBLE manicures would continue... it seems too good to be true! As a shorter nail girl, I've had terrible experiences at other studios in the past where you could tell the technicians would have rather been working on someone with long nails. Very experienced barber. I had long hair of 2 years. He turned me into a hero. Hats off to the barber.
I went to Onyx for the first time today for a pedicure (no polish). The salon is cute, clean, & calm. Emily was great - she was very thorough yet gentle. She did cuticle care, nail cutting, callus filing, exfoliation, moisturizing, & light massage. Highly recommend!
Unfortunately, my recent experience at a nail salon was extremely disappointing. The staff are disinterested in providing quality customer service and appeared to be more focused on finishing their work quickly and moving on to the next customer. The nail technician who worked on my nails did a poor job, rushing through the process and making mistakes along the way. I went here for around 3 years (1 year it was the only salon I was going to) and I was okay with paying a bit more because it was clean and they always used new tools. just before Christmas I noticed one of my nails was a darker colour (couldn't see through the polish) I asked them to take it off and my thumb nail was black and green. I was devastated, the timing was bad but I've also been getting my nails done for like 15 years and I have never had this happen.
