This appointment was an absolute failure by ANY metric. First, my appointment was delayed three hours. This seemed like a common occurrence by the representatives I interacted with. Next, the technician seemed to have no real idea of how to do her job. She placed sensor after sensor without even wiping the surface. ONE OF THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCES EVER! USE A LOCAL BUSINESS INSTEAD! SimpliSafe recommended OnTech for my installation, so I trusted that I would receive the service I was told to expect. Before scheduling, I was told the technician would not only install my system but also teach me how to use the equipment and the app. That was the primary reason I agreed to use OnTech. Purchased a Ring doorbell and 2 outdoor "stick up" cameras with solar panels and OnTech was the recommended installer so went with them. Was hesitant due to poor reviews but was very happy with the service I received. I guess it's hit or miss with who they send out as my technician was a subcontractor and actually a satellite dish installer as his full-time gig. My doorbell wasn't getting power so he ended up having to do extra work but didn't charge me more. It's been about a month and have had no issues.

Really poor service and awful customer support. We hired them to come and make a security system install recommendation. The tech that came provided a written document with three vaguely worded recommendations: "Outside: Advisory on 3 Cams Flood light", "Inside: Advisory inside work for ring system and co smoke detector" and "Euipment: Ring Smart Home Advisor". I tried 3 follow up calls to request clarification on what they were recommending and ask for details on install costs, etc. not only would they not provide those det... read more
