We arrived at 4:25pm on a Friday. With our experience and probably because it was surprisingly empty waiting room; we were seen promptly. Everyone we have encountered had been professional, polite and very understanding. X-rays were done within minutes and the doctor talked with us before and after. Actually very impressed. With all the other reviews, I bet the experience wouldn't be good due to HOURS but we really really got lucky. I would say the workers are great though.
Took my nephew here. They diagnosed him with COVID and sent him home with Zofran after waiting 2 hours. They didn't perform any other tests on him or anything. Twelve hours later he was anemic. He went to New Bern and they took him in right away and diagnosed him. He was then airlifted to a pediatric clinic. If you value your family, do not go here. I feel so guilty for taking him here. This place is trash.
I am here now and have been since 10am. Just got a chest xray and have to wait maybe another hour for results.
I am an OMH frequent flier. I understand some people can be put off by the wait times here and sometimes the doctors are iffy. Heck, they insist on giving me meds I don’t need at times but again that’s on the doctors. One thing I will say as someone who likes to spend weeks here, the nurses are EXCELLENT. They are usually decently friendly and so long as you aren’t rude to them they will treat you with kindness and respect.
