I am leaving this 1-star review because I have made multiple attempts to resolve a payment issue with OneMain, including contacting the central office and visiting a branch in person, and the issue still has not been properly resolved. OneMain withdrew two payments from my account in July. According to my payment schedule, my required payments through August are covered, and my next scheduled payment should be in September. I would give them negative stars if I could. After going back and forth requesting documents, after providing them with my bank account information, pay stubs, paper from my company reflecting my year to date income they did not even bother to let me know if they need more documents or at least let me know about their decision. I called to follow up and the recording told me my application was denied because I wasn’t able yo provide any proof of income!!!! Extremely predatory. They say your preapproved off the bat, just need to do a hard credit pull to confirm all info. You do that, then they say you're fully approved, but just need all this personal information to wrap it up, but then after that, you're denied and they don't give you a reason. And after they already have all your personal information. Total scam and waste of time company. Avoid them at all costs.

I submitted an application online and got to a page where I was approved and asked to choose my terms. The website asked me for my ID which I submitted. Afterwards, I received a call from the “branch manager”. She proceeded to ask me what I wanted the loan for and I explained to her it was for a personal purchase I wanted to buy for my husband.
