I've worked with Sonia for over six months and it has been a transformative and educational experience. I started with limited mobility and that has changed dramatically. With great patience, she was able to help me move into more asanas and I've seen increased range of motion and reduction of pain. She is also a very knowledgeable person to learn from if you are interested in the nervous system, psychology, and meditation. I recommend working with her!
Sonia is a fantastic yoga and spiritual teacher as well as an adept yoga therapist. Sonia helped me develop a simple practice to help with joint pain and incorporate yoga in it. Along with that, she provided guidance on breath work, meditation and awakening the spirituality from within. She provides a very calm, comforting and non judgemental environment and I am so lucky I found her. She has helped me find a different meaning of overall well being.
I was taking yoga classes and seeing a real benefit, but I didn't know how much yoga could help me until I started seeing Sonia one on one. Working with Sonia has helped me not only physically, but also emotionally. Learning how energy, emotions, and even aspects of awareness are all connected to the body and can be affected by the breath and movement of the body has been a very enlightening experience for me. Sonia has a kind, gentle nature, and she is with you every step, in a completely non-judgemental way.
Sonia helped me with low back pain that was limiting my activities. She took me through a series of slow movements with my back that made a huge difference. The pain was gone and has stayed gone. She taught me exercises I can do if it comes back. I'm so grateful for her help and recommend her services.
Sonia has helped me to "discover" and strengthen the muscles of my inner leg line - this has been answered prayer! My "bum knee" (from a 45 year old ice skating accident) is significantly less painful and I have much more ability and mobility to enjoy my body exercising and walking. Thank you!!! I appreciate Sonia's creativity in yoga practice, her playful and wise coaching to "hear and respond" to our bodies, and her knowledge of how our bodies move.
