My husband and I booked the one horse motel last minute. We were pleasantly surprised with the ease of booking as well as the check in process. We were greeted by the manager to make sure there were no problems with retrieving the key to the room. She was pleasant, knowledgeable about the area and very helpful. She ensured our room was ok and asked if there was anything else we needed. She answered all our questions about the area. The motel is reasonable, clean and close to Yellowstone. The dirtiest hotel room I have ever stayed in. There were several hairs in the shower, a few mysterious sticky spots on the floor, a heavily stained comforter, and a coffee pot that has probably never been cleaned.

While it is conveniently located just outside the West entrance of Yellowstone National Park, that is the only good thing I can say about this place. Our room still had to be cleaned when we arrived at check-in time of 4:00pm. The bed had terrible support. It sunk on the sides. There was not a nightstand on one side and no outlet. The box AC unit was a loud as being on an airplane. The shower rod was all rusted. The coffee pot didn't work properly. There is no ice machine on the property.
