NEW/POTENTIAL TENANTS BEWARE!! The once glowing 5-star reviews of Dekalb are old and aren’t reflective of the current situation. It used to be a great place and all reviews were true. Since the building was sold quietly without advanced notice to residents, a new management company called Benchmark Realestate out of Manhattan has come in. I've been living in the building for the past 2 years, and I've had a great experience and a big part of that is thanks to our building manager, Allie. She's always super responsive, friendly, and on top of everything. Anytime I've had a question or needed something fixed, she's handled it quickly and professionally. The building is always clean and smelling good - shout out to the cleaning crew that do an amazing job. Maintenance is also extremely reliable and helpful, they respond to requests within 24 hours. Moved in late 2024. The building is well maintained with nice fixtures. Management have been very supportive and available
I have been at One Dekalb for almost two years now and I love it. The property manager Allison is amazing, super sweet, and responsive to any messages/questions I have. The lobby is beautiful and the free coffee is a lovely perk. The cleaning crew is amazing coming in more than once a week and making our hallways clean and smell good. Our new maintenance manager is also doing amazing job making sure things are in order. If you have a dog, I highly recommend this building, super dog friendly and kind neighbors.
I moved in about a month ago and must admit that the building is awesome. The lobby is very well kept and my hallway always smells lovely. I’m writing this review to thank Yesenia for making the process quick and easy. She’s truly gone above and beyond to get me the right apartment to suit my needs. I’m in the service industry myself and so I understand all the hard work that is involved in pleasing the customers and Yesenia and Alison from management are doing a fantastic job. Thx
