Not what they use to be, it's not that big of a deal to get so little for your items when you can buy more at great prices. Unfortunately their merchandise prices have gone up but the amount they give to you when you sell to them has gone down. It's also often cheaper to just buy new at many stores. I've frequently found items that actually cost more to buy used at Once Upon a Child than they are currently at the store they came from. I think one star is over rating this place. I have taken my kids things there in the past to sell and have never been happy but today was the worse. They ripped me off! I took in good name brand things and I was sent home with over 90% of the stuff I took in. I made sure everything was clean and NO stains. Apparently they are more generous with buying from others. I browsed the rack and they had allot of faded items! PLus the one lady working there was EXTREMLY Rude!! I WILL NEVER RETURN HERE AGAIN!
This is for the Independence location in Charlotte, NC. This place is worst than a pawn shop! I went today and took a Arm's Reach co-sleeper, Baby Trend pack n play, and a vibrating napper. All items together were over $400, and I checked Amazon and Ebay prices before I went. I got a measly $83!!! While I was cashing out the manager changed my price to $75. This review is for the Concord store. But I can't find it listed and I am LIVID at those people. So I will post it here, so hopefully someone will see it and will help them to decide to steer clear. Will NEVER step foot inside Once Upon a Child, in Concord, again. The people are only mildly friendly. And their shopping carts are very unstable. I thought that as soon as I got one. I live in Nashville and make it a point to drive down to franklin to visit this store. i have had nothing but fantastic service and was treated with respect. I think we all need to realize every business has good and bad days, but this once upon a child in particular is always clean, has a great selection, and great customer service.
The Staff is always very helpful. I am always amazed at the deals I find. This time it was Abercrombie Pants.
