I stopped by On The Rocks for the first time today and had an amazing experience. Lamar and Patrick were behind the bar and couldn’t have been more welcoming, they were patient, knowledgeable, and helped me explore a few whiskeys until I found something I absolutely loved (even though I showed up pretty clueless about what I wanted). On the Rocks is one of my favorite bars in NYC. I love the intimate atmosphere of the bar and the friendly interaction with the bartenders. They have a huge selection of whiskeys and bourbons and to my knowledge one of the only bars that allows you to do a tasting before selecting what you want poured. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and eager to help you find your next pour. Honestly, as a tourist if you enjoy your whiskey. The bare tenders know there stuff. It’s an incredibly friendly atmosphere and I highly recommend it.
