Dr. Mei-Dan performed hip labrum repair surgery (with micro fracture surgery) on my 19 year old son in Nov 2019. After more than 6 hours in surgery (in consultation with other hip surgeons, this specific surgery should not have taken this long), my son had difficulty not only coming out of general anesthesia but was in excruciating pain in his opposite glute from the hip surgery site. If I could rate Dr. Omer Mei-Dan with negative stars I absolutely would. I highly recommend considering multiple opinions from other surgeons before moving forward with Dr. Mei-Dan. CU Boulder is a fantastic medical practice and has top notch imaging, however Dr. Mei Dan has very ill bedside manner & actually dislocated my hip causing my labrum to tear further during my appointment with him. Dr. Mei-Dan has done surgery on both of my hips with great results. He is extremely knowledgeable and bases his work off the latest research. He went above and beyond to help with insurance authorization issues for my most recent surgery. Very personable and always answers my questions thoroughly. I highly recommend.
Dr. Mei-Dan fixed my left hip and at 6 months post-op it's 95%. He is a talented surgeon and I am eternally grateful that he was able to fix my hip and take me out of pain. I've sent several friends to him as well and they've had good outcomes. Highly recommend.
