Olympia has been absolutely TERRIBLE. We are using them for our kitchen renovation, and they have managed to crack one piece, mis-sized two subsequent pieces, and "blew out" the faucet hole of a fourth piece of granite. The fabrication and installation were supposed to take at most two weeks from beginning to end, but we are into our fourth week and we still do not have the replacement to the piece they cracked. Not only is fabrication terrible but the customer service is almost nonexistent. TERRIBLE!
This place brings in customers because it has an excellent showroom and extensive selections. However, BE WARNED. The customer service is unbelievably bad. We shopped here (against the advice of our contractor) and selected some beautiful marble for our bathroom. They must have very inexperienced or unskilled people cutting the stone because they have cut ours wrong THREE times, and now won't return our phone calls. And when I say the cuts have been off, I mean WAY off - the seams don't meet!! They need to remove the pieces ... read more
Yes, I agree with the other reviewer that there is a bit a chaos regarding when things will be ready, delivered, proper size, unreturned phone calls. However, I got excellent advice on which stone to choose, selections were extensive, delivery was free, and mistakes were corrected with good cheer. The prices were the lowest I could find without extensive shopping. Now that the stone is set in place, I am pleased, and all of the negatives are forgiven. I think that I would use them again.
I have never bothered to write a review of a business before, but Olympia provides such poor customer service that I feel compelled. Last year, I picked out a marble piece for my fireplace hearth. When they realized the piece I chose was too small, instead of contacting me, they installed a completely different marble and width. When I confronted the owner after I realized it wasn't what I chose, he admitted the product was switched and allowed me to pick out a slab. But...come on!
