I bought a stern mount dinghy davit, RS-5, to swing the dinghy over the swim platform on our Grand Banks Classic 42. The Achilles dinghy at 350cm with a 20 hp engine is very seaworthy when underway. It takes 5 minutes to launch and 5 minutes to put away. This thing is built like the proverbial brick house. Josh has been very helpful and professional with all our interactions, highly recommended.
I ordered a RS-10 Transom Davit a year ago. When looking on their website (actual pictures they posted) they show stainless steel engine covers. Within the same picture they have posted on their website they display a nice blue finish on the top of the Davit. The blue fits the stainless steel very well, I then proceed to place the order (resulting in advance payment). I never opened the Davit until May of 2022 because we were not ready to travel. Josh gave us fantastic service on the purchase and installation process. We have used the davit for an entire season, launching and retrieving our dinghy well over a hundred times, and it performed great. We can drop anchor and have the dinghy in the water in under a minute.
