Called for appointment. Told receptionist twice I could not afford an emergency fee. SHE HUNG UP ON ME. ( and when I called back (3 times) call was not answered. Went to voicemail once.)
If you want a vet that completely ignores their veterinary oath, this is the place to go. In order to “teach an owner a lesson” they will stop treating your pet, even if they need regular medical attention. Don’t let the “niceness” fool you. They were providing care for one of my pets. I arrived one day to pick up a prescription and was handed an envelope. Within was a note saying, without explanation, that they were refusing to provide medical care for my pets from that point on. I recently moved to VA so I was interviewing new vets for my two dogs & three cats. I took my 12 year old dog to the vet yesterday. They ran a test I didn t authorize and charged me an \$18 kennel fee. Had someone told me about the fee I would ve waited the 30 minutes for my dog. I brought these errors to the attention of the office manager and the doctor hoping they would correct the wrong and they did not. I was told to find another vet. It has been a little over a year now since we started using Dr. Olsen, Lakewood Animal Hospital and I am very pleased! The whole staff is caring and spoil my dogs when they have had to spend time there. Can t say thank you enough to them when we lost one of our girls when she went to the rainbow bridge, it tore me up but they helped me through it. Great people!
We currently take our 2 dogs (Maple, Mandy) there for all there needs. The Staff are well trained, and personable. The Doctor is knowledgeable and understanding. We cannot wait to take our new puppy there.
