I would highly recommend Ms Wells as a therapist. Her skill and breadth of knowledge as a therapist, especially related to EMDR, is outstanding and this has been extremely therapeutic for me. She is always professional, responsive, supportive and caring. In addition, the Olney Counseling office staff are professional, compassionate and very quick to respond. They were very helpful in resolving an insurance issue I encountered.
Ms Wells is an unqualified and poorly trained social worker, attempting to practice psychology in Montgomery county. She is clueless of psychology literature and guidelines(DSM V) since she graduated from a C-category college in Texas. During sessions she only focuses on pseudo-emotions and feelings of the day, instead of resolving long-standing issues and omits facts in her work !! If high conflict reunification is the major leagues of counseling services, then Kim is the Shohei Ohtani of the field. And to be clear, I’m praising her not because she made anything easy or told me what I wanted to hear. She did neither. What she did do was stay completely professional and absolutely dedicated to what was best for our kids. She told me what I needed to hear, even when it wasn’t fun to hear it. Jenny is the most caring and compassionate therapist ever. She really goes above and beyond, and genuinely cares. She has helped me so much over the past few years and I am so grateful for that. I strongly recommend her. Also, the office staff are all super nice, super welcoming and the facility is clean, well decorated and calming.
We were referred to Olney Counseling Center by a retired psychiatrist friend and are very happy with the services being provided. My daughter’s therapist is knowledgeable, caring, connects well with her and is comfortable with a team approach to care. The office has friendly front desk support and a calm atmosphere.
