I made a carry-out order of two items: Stuffed Grapes Leaves and Baba Ghanoush. It was very late in the afternoon; I was famished Stuffed grapes leaves were served chilled. They were filling to satisfy my hunger. The lemony sauce was tangy and savory, not sour. On the other hand, baba ghanoush served chilled was on the bland side. Ok so firstly, they have the wrong time listed as their closing time we arrived 8:05ish thinking the place closes down at 9. It was clear they didn’t want us there. And then when we tried ordering to go the person at the register was singularly unhelpful. Terrible at communicating what they were out of. We got told off when we asked if they had tandoori chicken after she told us they didn’t have grilled chicken. We visited the Olive Tree Cafe for the first time recently. Let's say the 5 star hype was not there, and I should have checked out the 1 and 2 star reviews. Lesson learned! My dining partner's gyro was "Ok". My pesto chicken cibatta sandwich was not something I would order again. The chicken was seasoned ok with some tumeric, I think. Cute little place but putting mushy diced tomatoes on my caprese panini kind of ruined me. Additionally, my partners pita was dry and halfway filled. Probably will not be back to try the gyros.
