I recently moved back to Saginaw from New Jersey and was a little skeptical about trying any pizza place here because once you've eaten pizza in NY/NJ you know what good pizza tastes like. Well, I gave it a shot and I was not disappointed. Everything was perfect, from the sauce and toppings to the crust. For that brief moment I was back home while I ate. We heard about Old World Pizzeria from a friend and took an afternoon drive of approximately 100 miles to check it out. It was everything we hoped it would be. Large NY style pizza (we ordered 1/2 pepperoni, 1/2 meatsa). It was amazing! Every ingrediant of the pizza was perfect. Crust; just the right balance between crisp and tender. I’m not a pizza snob. I lived in the Detroit area for eight years and absolutely love Detroit-style pizza, so Michigan has more than earned my respect in the pizza department. That said, when it comes to New York-style pizza, I’m still an East Coast guy, and I tend to temper my expectations once I get too far away from I-95. Finding it in Saginaw?
