I ended up working with DJ who apparently bought the business recently. We clearly had rotting wood at our dormers, but DJ assured me that the wood was fine and just needed some epoxy and paint. I was skeptical, but put my trust in him and his expertise. Afterwards, I could still see some warped wood, even from a distance on the ground. With some difficulty he came by to evaluate, and then told me that this would need a carpenter, but they could not find anybody willing to do the job. We have worked with Old World Painting and DJ specifically twice over the past three months to paint 3 interiors in our 100 year old home. After having worked with other painters, I can confidently say that Old World is clear about what they can do and delivers on their promises, for both timeliness and quality of work. I can also say that after two jobs, we plan to request a 3rd for repainting our kitchen (but we’ll wait for a few months until I can handle the thought of moving all of our stuff out of that room 😊).
