We asked for and received a refund. It was uninhabitable. Two old queen mattress at the front door, bedding had been slept in and old food in fridge. No wood for inside heater and wet towels left on beds. This place looked so quaint on line - old but quaint- but beware it’s nothing like the pics. Renovations are reported to be in progress but check they have been done before booking.
Just had a great weekend stay at the old Walhalla bakery, will definitely be back
It was the worst experience of my family to stay there. The house was totally messy, sofas, bed sheets, blankets were too dirty even the crokeries were so dirty that one can’t even think about it. We had to clean it first before using. We had never faced such type of ill treatment in our life. It was totally wastage of money while stayed there 😡😡
I have been to The Bakery twice before, both times were with groups of close girlfriends during winter and am looking forward to my next planned visit in the warmer months. We had an amazing time roasting marshmallows over the campfire in the backyard and snuggling up in front of the wood stove in the living room whilst sipping on our Bailey's in the evening. Waste of money,uunmanaged place,with spriders on ceiling.dirty kitchen and toilet.broken flooring.dirty linens.heritage property, unkept garden.poor heating system.
