This was a great first stop for our Coober Pedy stay. Lots of interesting information about opals, mining and the history of the town. 3 generations of our family spent a good hour, if not longer enjoying ourselves here.

Great self guided experience. Lovely chat to a wonderful older miner/ owner & his wife before going underground. Enjoyed every twist & turn despite hitting my head a few times well worth entry fee to see how they lived & worked. Stayed next door in our van in their RV park. THANK YOU for the hard work done in getting this area for us travellers to stay well worth the donation. Try putting a donation box outside or call around later (6ish) to collect money saw too many camp & drive off as shop closed.
