In 1989 we began restoring our 180 year old historic adobe hacienda....and 21 years later, it's our passion and love. But we also know that all work and no play, etc....so we acquired an intimate knowledge of trails, rivers, ski runs, old Indian ruins, ghost towns etc. and pride ourselves on being northern NM outdoor enthusiasts. We also have special recommendations for amazing food and local unique art in Taos. Did we mention we personally know the best hot rocks massage in town? Each morning, over our full homemade breakfa... read more

This is a hidden treasure in the heart of Taos, NM. Beautiful historic hacienda with fresh modern fittings layered upon the authentic and undisturbed structure. Low pretense and quiet with beautiful views of the sacred Taos Mountain and the Rio Grand Gorge Valley. Wonderful New Mexican breakfast and hospitality.
What a charming, romantic, unique place to stay! I love that each room has a different theme with handcrafted elements. My only negative experience was our bathroom was on the small side and the toilet was really close to the wall, which my tall husband (and even myself) found unconformable. The daily breakfasts have all been so delicious and perfectly sweet, a great start before heading out to explore the area. The owners take a moment to chat with you and really make you feel taken care of, which is such a treat when you'r... read more
We just had a wonderful stay in one of their gorgeous casitas! This gem is perfectly located with unmatched ambiance. The rooms are decorated beautifully and makes you forget it’s a cute little B&B, as you feel like you’re in a luxury hotel! The bed and all the furniture was very comfortable (and cute) and our casita had all the amenities one could need. Beyond that, the incredibly delicious breakfasts made by the world’s sweetest staff were a major highlight. They were extremely understanding of our 5 year old’s picky eatin... read more
The casita I'm staying in here, behind the main building, could not be more inviting, with its upscale South Western decor, spacious outdoor living/dining area facing towards Taos mountain, and extras such as washing machine and dish washer. The service I've received from management has gone the extra mile. The location, tucked away in the southeast of an older part of Taos, is quiet and semi-rural, yet only a 10 minute drive to the town center. I cannot too highly recommend the Old Taos Guesthouse.
We really enjoyed our stay! It was so peaceful and quiet, and the staff were so pleasant. The breakfasts were delicious as well!
