In early June I had my eyes tested, ordered and paid for new glasses. It's now end of July and there has been no further contact from Old Street. Not too long after I ordered the glasses, I phoned to enquire. The answering machine said the clinic was closed for holidays. Surely I should have been told that there would be a delay. Two lessons: (1) Don't pay until the glasses are delivered and (2) avoid Old Street Optometry.
