The Old Spanish Treasure Cave is a cave unlike any l've seen, and Paul, the owner, is expert guide who provides interesting commentary on the history of the cave and detailed information on its geology. This cave is definitely a site worth visiting in southwest Missouri.
Remarkably good cave tour. No massive “rooms” but the cave is “alive” with growing formations, glittering walls, and embedded fossils of ancient sea life. It’s not a large commercial cave, but one that has been personally explored and excavated by our guide (and owner). Found this place while on a different adventure and decided to stop. I wasn't sure what to expect. The sign made the place look a bit cheesy but the cave tour was spot on. The cave was much much larger than I anticipated. Our tour guide, Cora, was very knowledgeable and allowed us to take our time looking around while she answered our questions. The tour took about an hour and was paced in a way that kept my 7yo interested in it.
