John is an interesting guy - apparently I offended him and he walked off the job without saying a word, there one minute, gone the next. I'm glad he did though - I'm now left with repairing parts of my deck that he ruined by aggressively power washing pressure treated wood - which if he knew what he was doing would not have happened. I can't say how he is at actually painting or staining but if you work with him, watch what you do or say as he might disappear on you too!
