The Old Rugged Barn was the perfect place for my dad's Celebration of Life. Teri and Diana were great to work with: explaining all the details, offering suggestions for set up, and helping with set up and tear down. We had use of both the inside and outside of the barn, which was nice since the day was so beautiful. There is a large television inside the barn, which allowed us to provide a slideshow of pictures during the celebration. One year ago today, my wife and I got married at this beautiful place❤️ The location, scenery, weather and staff were perfect! The Old Rugged Barn was gracious enough to let us come back and have a picnic on our one year anniversary! It was a beautiful way to reminisce about our wedding day! We will always hold this place close to our hearts❤️ We definitely recommend this beautiful location to any couple looking to have their happily ever. The LAST venue I’d ever consider. The owner is a liar, rude and discriminates. She’s got selective hearing GOSSIPS about people as if it’s truth and if she doesn’t agree with you, she’ll just make something up and blow you up. I’d be happy to share her texts if anyone needs proof. I had to even stop her and said “ “you don’t know me, why would you say such a thing about others.” She was very opinionated about a recent fundraiser for a local family with a daughter who had cancer. Let me start by saying DO NOT BOOK OR SIGN UP FOR ANYTHING HERE!!! What a terrible experience. Jo the owner is unprofessional, unethical, extremely dishonest, rude and should not be running anything. The one thing she is good at is running her mouth. Staff onsite were equally incompetent. We signed up for her vendor show. We paid for vendor space that was not available, told no refund and to deal with or get off her property. We’re also told to shut up or get out. We are so happy we chose to have our wedding at The Old Rugged Barn! Dorothy was fantastic to work with. She was our wedding coordinator and helped us plan and execute our wedding perfectly. We had a beautiful outdoor ceremony. The cocktail hour was in the smaller barn and the wedding reception was in the machine shed ( event center). Each location was perfect. I highly recommend this place for a wedding.
