My husband and I booked a weekend stay August 13-16, 2021. We were notified that the Inn was sold and the new owners would honor all reservations. We drove 3 1/2 hours to find out the Inn was closed. We were unable to find other accommodations for the weekend. It was extremely frustrating and disappointing. We were looking forward to a relaxing weekend but it turned into a nightmare. We will not be recommending the Red Cottage Inn.
It STANK of stale cigarettes, we asked if they had another room, she got mad and said she had just cleaned it. We were also aware of a breakfast included and asked about that, we were told that it would be served in a box a la Mac Donald’s style, this was not mentioned when booked. The owner was rude and really defensive, she told us to go and she insisted on giving us our money back, minus $25- holding fee, Since it was her that told us we should go and she wanted us out I insisted on the $25- back, they did return that. A breath of fresh [hospitality] air. After camping a few nights, having a small private cabin for myself and my dog was perfect. Located right on the main strip of North Conway. Cozy clean room, microwave, mini fridge and wifi.
The Best breakfast!!!
