If you like hiking, do the Grandma Gatewood trail. Start at Ash Cave and end here. 12 Mile round trip. Lots of scenic waterfalls when it's not dry.
Great Thanksgiving get away less then two hours. Weather, hiking, fireplace ... kids loved it.
Go to Cedar Falls after a couple days of rain. It's beautiful.
