Old Kempton Distillery is a premium whisky, gin and liqueurs distillery. We are focused on an artisan approach to distilling using Tasmanian ingredients and having a team of locals. We have a cafe with amazing coffee, lunches, breakfasts, kids meals and cocktails. We offer tours and tastings on a daily basis to show you the inner workings of an artisan distillery. We are kid friendly, dog friendly and wheelchair friendly.

My husband did a whisky tour and tasting and was amazed by the great work done here with everything done by hand. We are visiting from Melbourne so we took our kids as well and not only was the tour and whisky tasting a great experience, the venue is also very kid friendly. The staff were absolutely wonderful and catered to our kids dietary needs. Special shoutout to Halley who was very attentive. It was a lovely way to spend the afternoon in a relaxed and inviting environment.
Our CTST outing to Bothwell had us drop in for morning tea. Absolutely glorious house. Nice staff beautiful rooms. Very nice stop.

I highly recommend a visit to this distillery! I booked the guided tour with lunch for my partner and I, and we were both so glad that we did. Connor was an amazing guide - thank you so much! Old Kempton is a distillery with so much history and there's so much to learn about the property and its history. We enjoyed seeing the production process and also the little tastes of whiskey along the way. Lunch was a beautiful charcuterie board, and went so well with the drams of whiskey.
