Cute, charming, beautifully maintained. Just like staying at grandmas house, brought back so many memories. Love the yard, so peaceful, the stars are beautiful at night! If ever back this way, I will definitely stay again..

I can say unequivocally that Dow Williams review is false, vicious and completely out of line with all of the facts, and the other great reviews of The Old Homestead. The home is beautiful, well kept, comfortable and the lady owner is one of the most kind and gracious women I have ever met - as is her daughter that helps manage the property. Run by a woman who is more greedy and nosy (think 6 visits a day) than a hostess. We booked ten days. In advance we told her that two of the three parties would prefer to stay in our campers on the property than in the house (3 bedrooms). That we were use to our own beds and kitchens. But during the 10 days we would have mutual friends coming and going who might need the home. During the 10 day period, there were times no one was in the house. If you want to escape the city life and have an amazing time with your family, this place is the place to go. I appreciate all the wonderful moments I have had with my family there. The owner is amazing and goes above and beyond. I look forward to going back.
