How this place has 4.5 stars is beyond me. I love small-hole in the wall, family owned restaurants like this, but I’m gonna be completely honest that the place just felt a little dirty. The catfish had really good flavor, but all of the breading fell off almost instantly. Their home fries are sliced potatoes, but when I got them with my meal they were just covered in grease. Great food at a great price!
I love these "hole in the wall" diners. It's the kind of place that when you were a kid and one of the customers wanted more coffee, and the waitress busy, they just get up, get it themselves, and then go around and fill other people's cups too. I didn't see that, but that's the vibe. The country fried steak and gravy was delicious, just not big enough. The bacon is also very good, a slight smoke flavor that's not overwhelming.
