Mike is very knowledgeable about hay. I love the feed brands and the variety they carry. Tribute feeds is one of the best out there and they have pretty much their entire line. They also have the most awesome fine shavings, they are super easy to clean. I’m very thankful we have Old Dominion hay!
I've had horses for 5 decades. ODH makes it easy buy the right hay for my older horses and those with health challenges like Cushing. Mike has a great system of hay management where, using his numbering system, I can get the same hay from the same farm that has been analyzed for starch and sugar (among other things too). They are so helpful and informative-they always took the time to help me understand the hay analysis and what would be best for my horse with Equine Metabolic Syndrome. They always went above and beyond. They were also the only ones in the area who reliably had proven low sugar hay options.
Our experience was top notch. We recently lost our hay supplier whose quality of hay was diminishing over the last several deliveries; rocky, moldy, and very inconsistent. Our horses were reluctant to eat it. Years ago The Old Dominion was our supplier so we decided to return. Mike took time out of his day to escort us through his warehouse explain to great detail his operation. Very convenient, great selection and extremely nice people. And the bunnies seem to like the Timothy grass. Just switched over to Tucker Milling rabbit feed. They are eating it up, and the young are growing fast on mama’s milk.
