Stay away from Lake Thunderbird. Been going here for 20+years. The new parking at Clear Bay boat ramp is the most piss poor design and a complete waste of funds I have ever seen. The camp grounds have not been maintained. Over grown grass, trash cans over flowing, mud covering the rv pads and nothing being done about it. Rv camp spots cost more than any park in the State and most don't even have full hookups. Dump stations notorious for not working and park restrooms not cleaned or maintained. Terrible management of Oklahoma's public lands. Everyone that is in charge is hired politically or bc they are a friend and have zero knowledge in the field. Spend your money in Arkansas, Missouri or Texas. You'll see the difference. Oklahoma has so much potential but nothing happens bc every four years they take one step forward and two steps back bc people that have a passion for Oklahoma's special places are not involved.........
