Outstanding Dr.
He promised my wife he would get her eyesight back after she had a detatched retina. He shouldnt have promised her and been realistic about it, because the surgery didnt work. Not his fault but he shouldnt have led her to believe it was guaranteed. He seems to have a God complex and is aloof and his bedside msnner needs work. The final straw came when he yelled at her. I think Dr Nanda is a good surgeon but he messed up on my left eye EMR.I have glaucoma pressures and I told Dr Nanda that EMR outcomes are not good with glaucoma. He said, “where did you hear this?” There are many articles online by Ophthalmologist that state about glaucoma and EMR. I was under lite sedation so I could feel the amount of scraping of the membrane and I mentioned it to him and he told me “don’t talk please.” My vision in my left eye was 20/60 before EMR. Today my visit with Dr. Nanda was very productive. He listened to my concerns, asked questions, offered alternative treatment, and did my eye injection smoothly and almost painlessly. I am pleased to be back to continue my treatment with him.
You will wait 2-3 hours for eye injections and they won’t do more than one eye per day. I suspect this helps them bill the insurance more. In contrast, our new ophthalmologist takes about 45 minutes to do both eyes.
